X – Nobody wants to play Quarterback
Both Boston College and Wake Forest have seen injuries to their starting quarterbacks this season. Boston College’s Darius Wade was lost to an ankle injury against the Seminoles of Florida State back in September. John Wolford was hurt in the Army game and also has not made a full return. Wolford could be just around the corner though. He was inserted for one play against FSU.

Y – Everybody wants to play defense
Boston College is second in the nation in total yards defended. Wake Forest is somewhere around twentieth. Both held a reliable Florida State offense in relative check. Now they turn on each other. The result is bound to be a low scoring game decided by turnovers. You may get a lot of Brandon Chubb, but very little offensive excitement. Look for Hinton to play more conservatively than useful in this game.
Z – Both teams need wins
Both teams come into this one with two losses in the Atlantic. If either has dreams of bowl berths or challenging the division they need this game. The Eagles’ home field might mean everything to this one.
Prediction: 10-6 Boston College
