The Power Rankings for Week 6 got a big shock to their system when the NC State Wolfpack lost to the Louisville Cardinals over the weekend. That caused all the teams in the state to have at least one loss on their resumes. That also meant the battle for number one, two and three would be determined by the best loss so far.

The State went 4-3 for the weekend. The losses were not unexpected with Wake Forest losing to Florida State and Charlotte falling to Temple. Again the big one was the State loss. State’s position in the Atlantic is now a game behind teams like Clemson and Florida State. State has played neither of those two traditional Atlantic powers yet this season.
