DJ Burns Jr.

Talk about being remembered very fondly. DJ Burns Jr. will be remembered by the entire country for a long time.

The hero of March Madness, Burns took the nation by storm, not only by his impressive skill set but also as one of the most likable players in the country. Combining his intriguing size with a variety of post moves, beautiful footwork, soft touch around the basket, and high-level passing ability, Burns was one of the best offensive players of the NCAA Tournament.

Burns even got the endorsement of the best basketball player in the world, Nikola Jokic, with his play.

After spending the first three seasons of his collegiate career at Winthrop, Burns transferred to NC State before the 2022-23 season. He quickly became a fan favorite but unfortunately, his tenure is going to be short-lived as he exhausted his NCAA eligibility with his fifth season.

Wolfpack fans would have loved to see their skilled big man play for them for much longer, but they will have to make do with following his post-NCAA career. Whether it is in the NBA or overseas playing professional basketball, Burns will continue to have a special place among NC State fans.
