The 2025 offseason is officially underway. With Super Bowl 59 in the books, the Carolina Panthers will be using the next couple of months to find improvements to their roster.

Multiple players and teams have started looking at the trade market. Los Angeles Rams receiver Cooper Kupp revealed that the team will look to move him this offseason.

ESPN's Adam Schefter added that he believes Kupp's trade value is similar to Keenan Allen's, who got shipped to the Chicago Bears for a fourth-round pick.

With that being the asking point, the Panthers would be smart to get in on the sweepstakes.

Panthers Should Trade for Rams WR Cooper Kupp

Quarterback Bryce Young took some steps forward during the 2024 season and the Panthers should do everything they can to surround him with talent.

Even though Kupp hasn't played a full season since 2021, he would still provide the Panthers with a sure-handed pass-catcher.

The 31-year-old is a crisp route runner and could give the Panthers another playmaker in the aerial attack. In 104 career games, Kupp has notched 634 receptions for 7,776 receiving yards, and 57 touchdowns.

His salary is the biggest hurdle on a potential deal. Kupp is on the books for $29 million for 2025 and $27 million for the 2026 season.

He'll likely have to restructure his deal to get a deal finalized, but the Panthers have $20 million in cap space per Overthecap.com.

Adam Thielen, Xavier Legette, and Jalen Coker are the only receivers on the books for the 2025 that showed any type of production this past season.

Surrounding Young with quality weapons should be the No. 1 priority for the Panthers. Throwing a fourth-round in exchange for a former All-Pro weapon is good allocation of assets.

There will be multiple teams in the Kupp sweepstakes and the Panthers should be one of them.
