The Carolina Panthers have three matchups left on their 2024 regular season slate. They have missed the playoffs for the seventh straight season and will have their hands full as they attempt to turn this team around.

The Panthers host the Arizona Cardinals in Week 16 but made a move at WR with Xavier Legette's status in serious doubt.

Panthers News: Carolina Brought Back WR Dax Milne

The Panthers' official X page (formerly known as Twitter) reported that the team signed WR Dax Milne and LB Jackson Mitchell to the practice squad. Legette will likely be sidelined for the game against the Cardinals after he suffered a groin injury in the third quarter that forced him to leave the game.

Milne was on Carolina's practice squad back in October and is now being brought back again. The BYU product came into the league as a seventh-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft by the Washington Commanders. Across 28 career games and two starts, Milne has logged 15 catches (21 targets) for 120 yards and one touchdown.

Carolina also signed Dan Chisena from the practice squad. They will rely on Adam Thielen, Jalen Coker, and David Moore in Sunday's matchup. There's a pathway for Milne to find his way onto the active roster, especially if the Panthers shut down Legette for the remainder of the year.

During his collegiate career at BYU, Milne racked up 101 receptions for 1,542 receiving yards, and 11 touchdowns.

The next three matchups are still crucial for quarterback Bryce Young to get additional reps and build off the solid performances he's made since returning to the starting lineup in Week 8.

The Panthers' aerial attack hasn't taken off in 2024, as they rank 29th in the league in passing offense (186). They will match up against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who are 30th in the league in pass defense (247.7), and the Atlanta Falcons, who are 24th (225.9).
