The Carolina Panthers came out of their bye week and had a matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs at home. Despite heading into this game on a two-game win streak, that was put to an end on Sunday.

The Panthers fell to the Chiefs 30-27 on a 31-yard field goal as the clock hit zero. Even though it was a hard-fought game, defensive end Jadeveon Clowney took some shots at the refs and quarterback Patrick Mahomes in the process.

Panthers News: Jadeveon Clowney Had Some Things To Get Off His Chest

Clowney spoke with team reporters on Monday and said Mahomes does a lot of flopping on the sideline when it comes to calls he doesn't get. The Chiefs and Mahomes have developed a reputation for getting the benefit of the doubt from refs.

Clowney also believes that the refs threw too many flags against cornerback Jaycee Horn, who had three penalties called against him.

"Don't get the flags involved every time it's a gotta-have-it situation."

Horn is a physical cornerback who doesn't like to give receivers a lot of space, but the refs didn't let it slide on Sunday. Carolina had nine penalties called against them for 53 yards.

When you play against a Super Bowl-winning team, you can't afford to commit these kinds of penalties. Despite what Clowney says, the result is the same, unfortunately.

The Panthers have now turned the page on Week 12 and are now focusing on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, as these two are set to matchup in Week 13 in an NFC South collision.
