The Carolina Panthers are 3-7 on the season but have secured two straight wins. In Week 10 in Germany, the Panthers topped the New York Giants 20-17.

They had their bye in Week 11 but now have a contest against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. On Nov. 18, head coach Dave Canales revealed that rookie running back Jonathan Brooks is expected to make his NFL debut. Canales didn't put a limit on the number of plays and on Friday, he kept that same approach.

Panthers News: Jonathan Brooks Won’t Be on Snap Count

When speaking to team reporters on Friday, Canales said that Brooks won't be on a snap count.

Brooks was selected in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft but has been working his way back into the fold. While he's been rehabbing, Chubba Hubbard has taken firm control of the backfield. He's ninth in the NFL in carries (161), fourth in rushing yards (818), and tied for 12th in rushing touchdowns (6). That led to him landing a four-year, $33.2 million contract extension in November.

Although he's the workhorse, Brooks will see action. The Panthers took him due to his twitchiness and explosiveness in the open field.

The number of snaps he'll play remains to be seen, as this isn't a favorable matchup for the Texas product. The Kansas City Chiefs have held three rookie running backs to fewer than 55 rushing yards this season.

Brooks looks to avoid joining that list, but the expectations should be tempered for the 21-year-old's debut.
