I’m sure that there are plenty of fans that are displeased with Mack Brown’s first season in Chapel Hill, but with all of the close losses and the upcoming recruiting class, there should be plenty of excitement going forward. Carolina’s 2020 class currently ranks 16th in the country and second in the ACC.

The stellar class includes two of the best defensive ends in the country in Desmond Evans and Myles Murphy. The North Carolina natives are both ranked among the top three players in the state. They are joined by the sixth-ranked player in North Carolina and the nation’s 13th best defensive tackle, Kendrick Bingley-Jones. Top prospect and the nation’s fourth-best outside linebacker, Trenton Simpson, is committing in December and is expected to choose the Tar Heels. His commitment would give Carolina all three of the top three players in the state.

We all know that Brown can coach, but he is proving that he can recruit to Chapel Hill as well. The expectations for next season are going to be much higher. Will he be able to meet them?
