As the fourth-best player in his class, Cole Anthony is one of the highest-rated recruits for Roy Williams in recent history. Anthony has already brought a buzz to the NBA about potentially becoming the number one overall pick in the 2020 draft. It looks to be pretty likely in what seems like a very balanced college basketball landscape this year. A lot of Tarheel fans will be hoping to see him in Purple and Teal next season.

So far this season, Roy Williams has let Cole Anthony be Cole Anthony. Coming off of a year where Coby White would control the game, Anthony just completely takes over the game. Just four games in, he is averaging 22.8 points, 8 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 35 minutes a game. I know it’s early, but he is shooting a slightly better percentage from three (38.2 percent) than inside the arc (37.8 percent). Some other impressive stats include his seven steals and three blocks.  It will be interesting to see how his game takes shape against the upcoming stiffer competition.
