Wake Forest Football: 2018 Preseason Awards
Offensive Player of the Year
Winner: Greg Dortch
There is no question that the Wake Forest football team’s best offensive weapon is wide receiver Greg Dortch. The redshirt sophomore had a breakout season last year and led the team in receiving yards (722) and was tied for the team lead in receptions (53) and touchdowns (9).
These numbers are even more impressive when the fact that he missed the final five games of the year, including the bowl game, due to an abdominal injury.
Dortch is fully recovered from last year’s injury and ready to pick up where he left off last season. He was even named to the Preseason All-ACC team earlier this summer.
Barring another injury, Dortch should lead the Demon Deacons again in all receiving categories and be the team’s top offensive weapon.
