Wake Forest Football had two players named to the Preseason All-ACC team on Tuesday.

The Wake Forest football team is coming off an eight win season and hope to make some noise in the ACC Atlantic Division this upcoming season. Fortunately for them they have two of the best at their position with wide receiver Greg Dortch and offensive guard Phil Haynes. Both players were named to the Preseason All-ACC team on Tuesday.

Dortch also earned three votes for Preseason ACC Player of the Year.

Dortch made the team as the all-purpose back and is coming off a breakout season as a redshirt freshman. He finished the year with 53 receptions, 722 receiving yards and nine touchdowns but the thing that excites Demon Deacon fans the most is that Dortch may not have reached his full potential.

The wide receiver had his season cut short in Week 9 when he suffered a season-ending abdominal injury in a game that he had four touchdown receptions. The deep-play threat is now healed and ready to dominate the ACC.

For the offense to reach their full potential, it will start with the guys up front. This includes redshirt senior Phil Haynes who has started 25 out of the last 26 games at right guard for the Demon Deacons.

The offensive line will be incredibly important for this offense early in the year as the team will be inexperienced at quarterback. The expected replacement to John Wolford was supposed to be Kendall Hinton, however Hinton will miss the first three games violating team rules.

The Wake Forest football team will likely start either redshirt sophomore Jamie Newman or true freshman Sam Hartman.
