How will the left side of the offensive line perform?

The biggest concern for the Carolina Panthers entering this season has to be the left side of the offensive line. The team lost former All-Pro guard Andrew Norwell in free agency this year and he has left a big hole in this line.

This loss, combined with the underwhelming performance of left tackle Matt Kalil, has to have this coaching staff a little concerned entering training camp.

The good news is that there is plenty of players that should be competing for this left guard. The team signed Jeremiah Sirles this offseason and he will be competing against Amini Silatolu, Tyler Larsen and Taylor Moton.

The one player that would seem to have the best chance is Silatolu, who was a former second round pick of the Panthers. However, the guard has had an issue with staying healthy and it remains to be seen, if he wins the job, if he will be able to play all 16 games.

If Silatolu is not able to win the job, the player who has the most potential is Taylor Moton. The second-year player has primarily been the backup tackle with the Panthers but has the skill set that seems to be perfect for a guard.
