Ish Smith, Detroit Pistons, point guard, #14

Ish Smith represents one of the most underrated guards in the NBA today. He does not get the credit he deserves. Despite the lack of attention and publicity, Ish quietly holds down Detroit’s backcourt.

In November, he averaged 10.7 points, 5.9 assists and 3.2 rebounds per game. He shoots 40% from three-point range.

Smith had the luxury of starting at the point guard position last month. Starting point guard Reggie Jackson did not play any games due to a knee injury.

Smith is having his best NBA season yet. If he continues his string of impressive play, he may (and will) earn himself a regular starting position somewhere. Although he is not an all-star caliber player yet, he does everything well plus he is very dependable.
