Wake Forest Demon Deacons: Nikita Whitlock Burgled for Second Time
Former Wake Forest Demon Deacons player Nikita Whitlock has had a busy 2016 for the wrong reasons.
Life has not been easy on former Wake Forest Demon Deacons two way player Nikita Whitlock. The current New York Giants full back is currently under suspension for performance enhancing drugs. If that was not bad enough, Whitlock’s house was robbed and vandalized according to reports by WCBS-TV.
This is apparently the second time that Whitlock has been robbed. This time definitely seemed to be partially racially motivated. The thieves left messages like ‘go back to Africa’ and ‘KKK’ on the walls of the house. They stole video game hardware and jewelry in the robbery.
Given Whitlock being on IR and being suspended for the second time for PEDs, this is the biggest thing to happen to him lately. He did give an anti-hate message in regard to the whole affair.

Whitlock’s playing future is a little in question at this point. He impressed the Giants with his work ethic. They also used him some on defense, which was nod back to his days at Wake Forest under Jim Grobe. His history with PEDs does place some shadows on what happens next for him.

If the Giants give up on Whitlock, he could possibly find his way with another team. There is a fair amount of speculation that Tom Coughlin might return to the Jacksonville Jaguars next year. Coughlin knows Whitlock and could find a use for him. A move to Jacksonville would also move the family away from two robberies since Thanksgiving.
Either way, let’s hope that Whitlock overcomes this adversity and avoids PEDs in the future. He has the tools to contribute to an NFL roster.
