The Appalachian State Mountaineers returned to their winning ways at home against the Old Dominion Monarchs.

Last week, Appalachian State was very close to defeating No. 9 Tennessee. Tennessee won the game, 20-13.

This weekend, Appalachian State faced Old Dominion. Appalachian State jumped on Old Dominion early. You could have called this game ‘The Marcus Cox Show,’ because this young man was unstoppable.

Appalachian State dominated the game from beginning to end. The first offensive play of the game was a 40-yard pass from App State quarterback Taylor Lamb to Jaquil Capel. The next play was a 20-yard scamper for Marcus Cox.

Appalachian State’s first drive ended with a Cox touchdown. The second drive did, also. At the end of Appalachian State’s fourth drive (in the first half), Cox scored another touchdown; hence, ‘The Marcus Cox Show.’
