Appalachian State beat Wyoming for Homecoming. The first play saw Marcus Cox gallop 59 yards for the score and they never really looked back. Things likely will not be much different with Georgia State this week. Latrell Gibbs had a pick that he ran back for a score. Cox finished with 178 yards on the ground. It was uncharacteristic day for Taylor Lamb, as the App quarterback went 3/12. Wyoming outgained App but had more turnovers.
East Carolina got back on track in the American Athletic Conference with a win over SMU. After their week of running the football, ECU decided to keep the quarterback platoon and inserted James Summers in the second quarter. Summers produced two passing and one rushing touchdown. The question going forward will be whether Summers should just be the outright starter. Good enough to hang in the four spot this week.
