East Carolina Pirates: Time to Panic?

The East Carolina Pirates have started the year at the record of 1-2. The one win was a close call against the Towson Tigers of the FCS. Just last Saturday, the Pirates were beaten down by the Navy Midshipmen 45-21 in Annapolis, Maryland.

Are these troubling signs of an American Athletic Conference season to come? Despite how difficult things may look for the Pirates right now, it is actually too early to sound the alarm. The reasons why are these: the AAC is not as good, ECU’s offense is showing sings of a turnaround, this was all part of the plan, and playing Navy is always an aberration because of their system.
