Before Saturday’s kickoff gets to us, it is time to look at the power rankings for the teams in the state of North Carolina. Week 2 saw the state go 4-3, but all four of those wins have something common – FCS competition.

Early season rankings are always going to see some juggling and that was the case this week. Teams are starting to begin conference play though others are still a couple weeks away from that reality. Duke’s upcoming matchup with Northwestern would be a good win, but a loss could see the NC State Wolfpack creep back up into the top spot for Week 4.
