Miles Plumlee is out of Phoenix and Kendall Marshall is out of Milwaukee, and possibly also out of Phoenix. The Blue Devil and the Tar Heel were headed in opposite directions in yet another big trade that occurred during a busy NBA Trade deadline.

Plumlee had been rumored to be unhappy with the situation in Phoenix, despite playing almost twenty minutes a game. Plumlee offers a good piece for the Bucks to help make up for the buyout of forward Larry Sanders. Plumlee will be teaming up with former player Jabari Parker in future seasons.
The Suns had made much out of their three guard setup with Eric Bledsoe, Isaiah Thomas, and Goran Dragic. Now they have sent Dragic and Thomas away and have seemingly paired Kentucky products Brandon Knight and Bledsoe. Marshall is also headed to Phoenix in the trade, but he is likely to be bought out.
The full trade was:
Milwaukee sent Brandon Knight and Kendall Marshall to Phoenix.
Philadelphia sent Michael Carter-Williams to Milwaukee. The 76ers received a draft pick.

Phoenix sent Tyler Ennis and Miles Plumlee to Milwaukee.
The Suns now have a Kentucky backcourt, while Milwaukee may have a Syracuse backcourt. Carter-Williams was the reigning rookie of the year. The 76ers look like they are taking their transaction plan (acquire draft picks and lose) to exciting new levels.
Milwaukee is currently sixth in the Eastern Conference standings. A move this big leaves it hard to see how they will be impacted, but Michael Carter-Williams is more of a slasher where Knight was more of a shooter. There might be some Jason Kidd fingers on this move.
Phoenix is looking to make a move to get into the playoff picture from their spot in ninth place at the moment. It is hard to see how their changes will work, but Knight offers a shooter who can also create.
Marshall may get to help his own fate if he is bought out. He might finally return to the Lakers or find a home with a team with injury issues like the Knicks.
