Bowl Projections: ACC 12/7 Pre-Bowl Show
This week’s Bowl Projections mark the final ones before the truth is known. The agent of change this week is the Michagan State Spartans. If they can maintain their position in the rankings of the college football playoff, they would be slotted for the Orange Bowl. That would open up an additional bowl bid with the former Capitol One (current Buffalo Wild Wings) Bowl opening up to an ACC team. That team would be Clemson.

Bowl Teams
Florida State (13-0, 9-0)
Clemson (9-3, 6-2)
Louisville (9-3, 5-3)
Boston College (7-5, 4-4)
North Carolina State (7-5, 3-5)
Georgia Tech (10-3, 6-3)
North Carolina (6-6, 4-4)
Duke (9-3, 5-3)
Miami (6-6, 3-5)
Virginia Tech (6-6, 3-5)
Pittsburgh (6-6, 4-4)
Notre Dame: (7-5)
The selection of Notre Dame throws a wrench in any set of projections, because the Fighting Irish have be won by lottery amongst the tier bowls that they qualify for. That means that they could slot anywhere, including back to the Pinstripe. I will try to maintain consistency here, because the Michigan State effect will work its way down here.
Bowl Projections
1. FSU to the Playoff
2. Georgia Tech to Orange
3. Clemson to Buffalo Wild Wings
Now here is where it gets interesting. The Russell Athletic hosted Louisville last year. The Orlando bowls are already getting the Clemson money in the Buffalo Wild Wings, so I think they would have little trouble taking Duke in this spot. The Music City would love them for that.

6. Notre Dame to the Sun
7. Boston College to the Pinstripe

The end of the run looks much the same as I have put it previously. That means that North Carolina needs to get over its distaste for the Independence Bowl and accept that this is an opportunity to get a big monkey off of it back. Missouri won’t be there waiting for them.
9. Pittsburgh to Detroit
10. Virginia Tech to Military
11. Miami to Bitcoin
