Week 11 College Football Playoff Poll: Duke #22
The second version of the College Football Playoff poll moved Ole Miss out of the top four in favor of Oregon. That was the only major change in the poll up top. Down at the bottom, the East Carolina Pirates fell out of the poll completely. The Duke Blue Devils are still treading water at number 22 in the polls and that may begin to change if they can hang on to that one loss and other teams start to pick up more losses.

Despite the Pirates moving out of the poll, no other tam outside the Power 5 moved in to replace them. This brings up an interesting point. The poll may not have a non Power Five member in it when the final poll is taken. That would mean that the committee would have to rank the non Power Five champions separately to determine who would get the bowl bid to the Alliance Bowls.
What is the process for this? No one knows and the committee does not have to say. So despite there being this twenty-five team ranking that they all produce, the committee might make their choice on who goes to the Alliance bowl game from the non Power Five from the ether. At this point it is hard to imagine that Marshall is not the team. If Marshall was to lose the Conference USA title game, then the committee could not pick them and would have to settle for someone else. Which means Pirate fans should be big Louisiana Tech fans right now.
