Appalachian State Mountaineers Snowball Panthers, 44-0
Okay, so now the Appalachian State Mountaineers are on a two game winning streak. Who needs to throw the ball? That’s just a waste of time when you play Georgia State Panthers. The Mountaineers took the ball out of Taylor Lamb’s hands and just ran.

Marcus Cox. The star runner, Count Dacula, was given the ball thirty times for two hundred and forty eight yards. He scored three times including one on a 76 yard gallop. Where was this earlier in the season? They were not playing the Panthers earlier in the season. Hopefully Cox can keep this up in the next game against Louisiana-Monroe. Yay snow!
Ricky Fergerson. Not one to miss out, Fergerson continued to put his own stamp on the running back position with one hundred twenty three yards of his own. He had an eighty-three yard run that was his only score in the ball game. Yay snow!

Wide receiver Simms McElfresh joined in the fun as well with a touchdown run. He was matched by Taylor Lamb who had his own touchdown run. All told, rushing yards made up for 471 of the 569 yards of total offense on the day for Appalachian State. The game was at least partly inspired by the snow that fell on Boone over the night and during the day.
App’s remaining games will see an increase in level of competition. Next week the Mountaineers will face the War Hawks of Louisiana Monroe, who have shown spunk on defense. Not so much on offense. Following that will be Lafayette, Idaho, and Arkansas State. Only Idaho fits the description of a team that Appalachian State should take down.
