The House that Sam Hinkie built is still a work in progress. General Manager Hinkie has committed to the getting bad to get good strategy. He is trying to build on youth and cap flexibility. What he does next remains to be seen.

In the meantime he has a roster full of youngsters like Joel Embiid, Nerlens Noel, and last year’s rookie of the year, Michael Carter-Williams. Also on the 76ers roster is Luc Mbah a Moute, former Bobcat Jason Richardson, and Clemson rookie KJ McDaniels.

This means that Hinkie has a lot of parts and none of them is making a lot of money. Richardson is the most expensive player on the roster at a $6 million price tag for this year. Philadelphia famously tried to tank its way to the 1st pick in the draft last year only to fail to achieve the League’s worst record.

The 76ers lost to Boston on Monday by 98-78 score. The started a line of C Henry Sims, Mbah a Moute, Noel, and guards Hollis Thompson and Tony Wroten. Wroten led all scorers with 19 points. Sims collected ten rebounds.
