Week 7 Amway Coaches Poll: ECU #19
Week 6 was a massacre if you a ranked team, with a number of ranked teams falling from last week’s poll. Notre Dame was number 9 last week. In the Week 7 Amway Coaches Poll, they are number 5 this week, meaning that North Carolina will be going on the road to face a top 5 opponent this Saturday.

It is a good day to be a Mississippi Squad. The Mississippi State Bulldogs and Ole Miss Rebels both had big wins are both top 6 squads in the current poll. That Egg Bowl looks more interesting. Alabama, LSU, Oregon, and Stanford are only a sampling of teams that fell in the poll this week. Arizona made the jump from out of the poll to 13.
Making a first appearance in the Poll is Georgia Tech, 5-0 with wins over Virginia Tech and Miami.
Returning to the poll was Clemson, fresh off back to back wins over the two North Carolina schools.
East Carolina rose to #19 this week after its win against SMU. With the BYU Cougars falling out of the poll, the Pirates are the highest ranked team not in the Power 5 conferences. Marshall now sits in the most receiving votes spot.
Duke continues to receive votes, but fewer than last week. The Blue Devils were on bye this week.
