The Carolina Panthers are one of the hottest teams in the NFL right now. The Panthers are on a two-game winning streak.

Today, the Carolina Panthers face the Kansas City Chiefs (6-2). Although Kansas City has a better record, Carolina remains the favorite to win this game. According to ESPN’s Football Power Index, the Panthers have a 62.3% chance of winning today’s game.

Both teams rely on the running game a great deal. The interesting thing about Kansas City is their use of Spencer Ware. Ware can do it all. He can run very well and catch passes out of the backfield just as good as any wide receiver.

The Carolina Panthers will have their hands full with him. Luke Kuechley and company must do a good job shutting down the run since this is the heart and soul of the Chiefs’ offense. On the other side of the ball, the Panthers will play without offensive tackle Michael Oher today. Their running game might take a hit with Oher out. His blocking is vital to Carolina’s rushing success.
