Week 10 AP Football Poll: ECU #21, Duke #24

The Week 10 AP Football Poll has been released with the writers choosing to not punish the Ole Miss Rebels as much as the Coaches Poll did. They also chose to reward Utah and LSU at the expense of East Carolina, who has now fallen to twenty-one is the poll.

More from Duke Blue Devils

More ominous for the Pirates is that the Thundering Herd of Marshall sits right there at twenty-three with only Clemson between them. Again perception might be everything and that unbeaten record Marshall is carrying around is far more noticeable than wins over the ACC Coastal, which is being derided as weak. I personally think that is shortsighted, as the teams in the Coastal are all approximately even not necessarily bad.

The Duke Blue Devils also made it into the AP Poll of their bye week. None of the other schools received votes in the Poll.
