The Panthers set QB Bryce Young up to fail in Week 8 against the Broncos, letting him face one of the NFL's top defenses without his top two receivers and an ailing offensive line.

Things predictably went poorly. While Young performed admirably given the circumstances, it's obvious Carolina intends to trade him ahead of the November 5 deadline if another team is willing to make a deal.

Obviously one of the worst teams in the league, the Panthers are once again going back to the drawing board desperately hoping to inspire hope within a devastated fanbase.

Bryce Young Seals His Fate With Panthers Week 8 Loss

Young finished the contest completing 24 of his 37 pass attempts for 224 yards with a pair of TDs against two interceptions. It was easily his best start of the year though Carolina was never truly in contention, struggling to keep the game within two scores late.

Andy Dalton obviously isn't the answer but Young isn't either, putting pressure on Dan Morgan and Dave Canales to find a franchise QB before David Tepper's short patience ends their respective tenures.

Fans know that Tepper is the true problem with the organization. Regardless, he's not going anywhere. Morgan, Canales, and Young are all expendable and must prove their worth to stick around. Young's future seems predetermined with the trade deadline coming up, though he at least showed promise despite the loss.

He was given a limited skill-position group yet looked capable. We'll see what happens next week but Week 9 could very well be Young's finally game in a Carolina uniform.
