UNC vs. Alabama Best Bet and Prediction for 3/28 March Madness Game
By Cem Yolbulan
The North Carolina Tar Heels are exactly where they hoped they would be when the 2023-24 season began. As the number 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament, heading into Sweet 16 after two dominant wins, North Carolina has a good chance to make it back to the Final Four after a one-year hiatus.
Standing in their way is the fast-paced, high-powered offense of Alabama Crimson Tide.

UNC vs. Alabama Best Bet and Prediction
According to KenPom College Basketball Ratings, Alabama is the fastest team remaining in the tournament. They also had one of the best offenses in the country all season, ranking fourth. They regularly put up over 100 points in games.
North Carolina has to bring it on the defensive end to keep up with Alabama. When locked in, the Tar Heels have the ability to play as elite of a defense as anybody in the country. Their effort level and intensity have waxed and waned throughout the season but that shouldn't be a concern in this high-stakes matchup in the Sweet 16.
Their primary concern on that end will be dynamic guard Mark Sears. Averaging a whopping 21.5 points and 4.2 assists on an impressive 50.7% shooting from the field and 43.5% from three, the 6'1 guard has been on a scorcher lately, having scored 20+ points for eight straight games.
Alabama will try to force turnovers and get out in transition at every opportunity, including made baskets. The key to Tar Heels' victory will be limiting these chances and containing Sears.
North Carolina has the talent to do so on both ends of the floor. They have good perimeter defenders on one end and dynamic scorers to keep up with Sears on the other. They should be able to beat Alabama.
