The Carolina Panthers made it obvious throughout their offseason that one of their main priorities is to surround their young quarterback Bryce Young with as much talent as possible. They bolstered the offensive line to help keep Young upright and added talented pass-catcher Diontae Johnson from the Pittsburgh Steelers.

However, the Panthers are not done adding more offensive talent. Their wide receiver corps still needs an upgrade with Adam Thielen getting up there in age and Jonathan Mingo being an unproven prospect.

Fortunately for them, things may have broken right for them in the trade market. The perfect trade target to take their offense to the next level is becoming more available with each passing day.

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk has been making clear of his intentions to play elsewhere next season.

Panthers and Brandon Aiyuk Are a Match Made in Heaven

The 26-year-old star just unfollowed his team on Instagram, generally understood as a sign of dissatisfaction with your organization. The former first-round pick has previously stated his desire in a long-term contract extension that would make him one of the highest-paid wide receivers in the NFL.

The 49ers are choosing to play hardball with Aiyuk, opening the door for endless trade rumors as San Francisco would understandably not want to risk losing its star pass-catcher for nothing.

Aiyuk is coming off of back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons for San Francisco. Last year, he finished with 1,342 yards on 75 catches and seven touchdowns, earning All-Pro second team honors.

Having just turned 26, the former Arizona State product also fits the Panthers' timeline. If the goal is to surround Bryce Young with as much talent as possible, Carolina is not going to do better than Aiyuk. Trade for him, give him a big contract extension and see how good Young can be with one of the best receivers in the league.
