Notre Dame vs. North Carolina Best Bet and Prediction for Tuesday, Mar. 5
By Cem Yolbulan
It's the last home game of the season and as per tradition, it is Senior Night at Smith Center. The North Carolina Tar Heels are looking to continue their momentum and win their fifth straight against Notre Dame.
Seven seniors will be playing their final home game in Chapel Hill, including Armando Bacot, Cormac Ryan, and RJ Davis. The Tar Heels will want to win it for their upperclassmen as the team heads to Durham later this week to take on Duke in a game that will clinch the ACC regular season championship.

The Fighting Irish are playing their best basketball of the season, having won five of their last six, including impressive victories against Clemson and Wake Forest most recently. This will be an important game for them to see the progress they have made from earlier in the season when they lost seven straight in ACC play and got run out of the building against Duke and Virginia.
Freshman guard Markus Burton has been absolutely lighting it up for Notre Dame, scoring over 20 points in three straight games and bringing his season averages to 17.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game. His matchup against RJ Davis will be the one to watch on Tuesday night.
Notre Dame will try to make this a statement game as they try to make it a selling point for recruiting for next season.
The 15.5 spread doesn't accurately represent how good Notre Dame has been over the past three weeks. The Tar Heels should still win but I expect a closer game than the odds suggest.
My pick: Notre Dame +15.5
