The North Carolina Tar Heels haven’t been super active in the transfer portal this offseason as they haven’t had a mass exodus of talent like their in-state rivals, the Duke Blue Devils.

The Tar Heels got some great news this week as they will get Seth Trimble and RJ Davis back for next season. However, North Carolina is reportedly looking for frontcourt help in the portal and has their eyes on some wing/forward help.

Joe Tipton of On3 Sports reported Wednesday that former Stanford standout Andrej Stojakovic is considering the Tar Heels, Kentucky Wildcats, and Cal Bears.

Tipton adds that the former Stanford wing was on Cal’s campus last weekend and is working on finalizing a visit to Kentucky this weekend. Stojakovic entered the transfer portal this offseason after playing one season at Stanford.

The former McDonald’s All-American averaged 7.8 points and 3.4 rebounds in 22.3 minutes per game. He also shot 40.9 percent from the field and only 32.7 percent from beyond the arc. If the last name sounds familiar, he’s the son of former Sacramento Kings All-Star Peja Stojakovic.

UNC is familiar with Stanford transfers as they picked up Harrison Ingram last offseason. Ingram was solid for the Tar Heels, averaging 12.2 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per game in his lone season in Chapel Hill. He shot 43 percent from the field and 38.5 percent from beyond the arc.

If the Tar Heels can land Stojakovic in the transfer portal, they will hope he can have a similar jump in production as Ingram showed this season.
