NFL Wildy Disrespects Panthers With 2024 Schedule
By Jovan Alford
The NFL officially announced its 2024 schedule on Wednesday night, allowing fans and all 32 teams to get the first glimpse of who they will be playing this coming season.
As for the Carolina Panthers, they’re looking to make some noise in 2024 with new head coach Dave Canales after a disappointing 2023 season where they went 2-15. However, the future is bright in Carolina as Canales is a breath of fresh air and can hopefully get Bryce Young on the right track.
Looking at the Panthers’ 2024 schedule, there are a ton of exciting matchups as the team will be going overseas, playing the New York Giants in Munich, Germany in Week 10. Carolina will also play the defending Super Bowl champions (Kansas City Chiefs) in Week 12 at home, along with two contenders out of the NFC East.
When you see the teams that Carolina is playing, you’d think that the Panthers would have at least one or two primetime games. However, that’s surprisingly not the case, as the NFL didn’t give Carolina any primetime games for 2024.
Last season, the Panthers had two primetime games as they played the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football in Week 2 and the Chicago Bears on Thursday Night Football in Week 10.
Based on how last season went for Young and Co., it’s not shocking that the schedule makers decided against giving the Panthers any postseason games. However, it’s a new year, with a new coaching staff and team that should show improvement in 2024.
The Panthers should take this disrespect from the league and show them that this isn’t the same team from 2023.
