The North Carolina State Wolfpack men's team has gotten all the attention lately with their Cinderella run to the NCAA Tournament Final Four. What has gone under the radar, however, is the improbable run the NC State women's team is currently on.
The 3-seeded Wolfpack had to beat the highest-seeded opponent possible in each round, taking care of No. 6 Tennessee, No. 2 Stanford, and No. 1 Texas on their way to the Final Four. Now they are facing the undefeated juggernaut of South Carolina Gamecocks.

The Gamecocks are understandably favored (-11.5) to make the Finals. They have somehow gone under the radar as star players like Caitlin Clark, Paige Bueckers, and Angel Reese have gotten all the buzz in the media. However, they have been the team to beat all season and haven't lost yet.
They are a great, all-around team with no weaknesses. They have size, length, and depth. Dawn Staley's team had a different leading scorer in each of their four tournament games despite senior center Kamilla Cardoso being the leader of the team on both ends of the floor.
NC State, on the other hand, will rely on the dynamic backcourt of Aziaha James and Saniya Rivers. James is on a hot streak as she is averaging 24.3 points in the tournament while Rivers used to play for Staley in South Carolina before transferring to NC State. They will need to continue carrying this team's offense for them to have a chance against the Gamecocks' explosive offense.
South Carolina should win but 11.5 spread seems disrespectful to the Wolfpack. NC State looked as good as any team in the tournament and they should be able to keep it close.
