Hornets May Make NBA History with New Head Coach Hire
The Charlotte Hornets are casting a wide net with their head coach search.

A big, transformative offseason awaits the Charlotte Hornets following two disappointing seasons under head coach Steve Clifford. After two losing campaigns full of off-court issues, drama, and endless injuries, Clifford's second tenure is coming to an end.
Now, the Hornets have started their coaching search as they look for a leader to bring some discipline and accountability to this group. The latest reporting suggests that they are willing to think outside the box to find the perfect coach.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Charlotte is going to interview Lindsey Harding from G-League's Stockton Kings.

The former WNBA point guard was appointed as the head coach of the Stockton Kings, Sacramento's G-League affiliate. She led the team to the best record in the league and won the Coach of the Year award in her first year.
Harding was the first overall pick in the 2007 WNBA Draft after a successful collegiate career at Duke, winning Naismith College Player of the Year in her senior year.
After her professional basketball career came to an end in 2017, Harding worked with the Toronto Raptors and the Philadelphia 76ers before becoming an assistant coach with the Sacramento Kings.
Even though current Las Vegas Aces head coach Becky Hammon came close to a head coaching gig in the NBA, Harding would be the first woman to be the head coach of an NBA team.
