First Look at Cooper Flagg in Duke Uniform Emerges

We are still months away from the start of the 2024-25 college basketball season, but many teams across the country are beginning to practice in preparation for the fall. The Duke Blue Devils are one of those squads that had their first team workout on Tuesday.

The Blue Devils had their 2023-24 season end in the Elite 8 against the NC State Wolfpack, but there’s a lot of promise heading into the 2024-25 season because of the star-studded freshman class. 

Duke has one of the best recruiting classes in the country, headlined by the best HS prospect in Cooper Flagg. Flagg, projected to be the No. 1 pick in the 2025 Draft, will be wearing the No. 2 jersey for Duke this season.

In a video clip posted on Twitter, Flagg showcased his handles, shooting, and threw down a few dunks. Even though it was only a 36-second video, Duke fans were excited to see Flagg touch down in Durham and begin getting ready for the regular season.

With Flagg having a lot of popularity and hype around him, there will be a lot of pressure on Jon Scheyer’s team to perform well in the ACC and the NCAA tournament. Duke has 12/1 odds (+1200) on DraftKings Sportsbook to win the national championship behind UConn, Kansas, and Alabama at 10/1 (+1000).

However, with the Blue Devils losing players to the transfer portal and the NBA, fans must give Flagg and the rest of this freshman class grace to start the season. Flagg will be box office and could be one of the best Blue Devil players in recent memory.
