Ever since Drake Maye was given the reins in North Carolina in 2022, his NFL draft stock has been steadily increasing. That trend has been continuing since he declared in December that he is entering the 2024 NFL Draft. Now, the UNC standout is considered one of the top prospects in the nation. But, what is his likeliest destination?

Oddsmakers think that the former ACC Player of the Honor is the heavy favorite (-140) to be drafted at No. 2 overall by the Washington Commanders.

Drake Maye NFL Draft Odds

This makes sense for the Commanders as they are desperately trying to find their franchise quarterback and Maye is one of the most naturally and physically gifted QB prospects we have recently seen.

Maye is 21 and has a huge 6'4 frame with elite arm talent and the ability to play both inside and outside the pocket. He wasn't as productive in 2023 as he was in 2022, but over the two years as a starter in North Carolina, Maye had 63 touchdowns to 16 interceptions with a 64.9 completion percentage and a 17-9 record. He added 1,209 rushing yards and 16 rushing touchdowns to showcase his ability as a dual-threat quarterback.

Caleb Williams of the University of Southern California is the odds-on favorite to be the No. 1 overall pick in the draft. After that, the consensus is that Maye and LSU's Jayden Daniels will round out the top three. Ohio State wideout Marvin Harrison Jr. is the only non-quarterback with a serious chance to be drafted in the top three, according to sportsbooks.
