Cam Newton Has Hilarious Response to Christian McCaffrey Wedding Snub

Former Panthers star Christian McCaffrey married fashion influencer Olivia Culpo in a lavish wedding in Rhode Island on June 29. Naturally, the guest list included plenty of NFL icons and current and former players like Carolina legend Greg Olsen. One former teammate who wasn't there was Cam Newton. And Newton wasn't happy about the lack of invite.

On his podcast "4th and 1 Show with Cam Newton", the former MVP addressed why he wasn't in attendance despite being teammates with McCaffrey between 2017 and 2019 and again in 2021. Newton revealed that he wasn't invited even though he wanted to be there. His reaction is definitely worth a watch.

Newton jokingly wondered about whether the snub may be related to his beef with 49ers quarterback and McCaffrey's teammate Brock Purdy. However, it turns out there is more to the story.

McCaffrey commented on social media that Newton hasn't responded to his texts in four years. The star running back said that his texts don't even seem to go through anymore.

Newton then asked for McCaffrey's new phone number under the social media post. Perhaps they cleared the air in private later.

The whole segment was done in a tongue-in-cheek way in typical Cam Newton fashion. He surely would have preferred to be there, but he doesn't seem too bothered about the incident. In fact, he ends the video by congratulating the newlyweds. Unfortunately for fans, however, they are going to have to wait a little longer to see those three Panthers legends together.
