Wake Forest (18-9) takes on Notre Dame (10-17) at 9:00 PM EST Tuesday night searching for a third straight win after Saturday's impressive upset over Duke.

The Demon Deacons have struggled on the road, winning just one of their last seven contests, in stark contrast with their undefeated mark at home. Notre Dame hasn't played well anywhere though, and this is a great opportunity for Wake Forest to avoid a let-down and keep pace in the ACC.

With three straight wins and covers against the Irish, can the Demon Deacons make it four-in-a-row? Let's take a look at the odds and break down the matchup.

Wake Forest vs. Notre Dame Odds, Spread and Total

Wake Forest vs. Notre Dame Best Bet and Prediction

The Demon Deacons are 6.5-point road favorites with -260 odds on the moneyline and a low total set at 134.5. I predicted Monday that Wake Forest would win 71-59, fueled by a strong performance from beyond the arc led by Hunter Sallis, who won ACC Player of the Week after dropping 29 points on the Blue Devils.

Notre Dame has one of the worst offenses in the country, ranking 291st in effective field goal percentage (47.5%), 331st in turnover rate (20%) and 341st in free throw rate (26.1%). The Irish shoot poorly and generate almost nothing in transition or from the charity stripe. That's a recipe for disaster against a Wake squad capable of scoring with the best of them.

I'd ordinarily be worried about a let-down spot for the Demon Deacons given the big home win on Saturday, but they're a half-game behind Virginia with just four to go. Head coach Steve Forbes knows he has to get his team ready for games away from home, so I expect a focused effort against an inferior opponent.

Sophomore guard Kevin Miller is heating up from three, drilling five of his last nine, providing Wake Forest with another scoring option to take advantage of Notre Dame's leaky perimeter defense if Sallis' shot isn't falling.

Wake Forest's road woes are a bit exaggerated as well. Overall, they've covered the spread in four of their last five as road favorites, while Notre Dame is 1-4 against the spread in their previous five at home.

The Demon Deacons are in line for a special March and they'll prove that tonight with another impressive win.
