The 2023-24 ACC regular season will officially wrap up on Saturday, as 14 of the 15 teams will be in action. It will be the final opportunity for many teams to potentially move up in the ACC standings heading into the ACC Tournament.

The ACC Tournament will begin Mar. 12 in Washington D.C., at Capital One Arena. As things currently stand, the North Carolina Tar Heels and Duke Blue Devils are locked into the top two seeds in the tournament.

However, only two games separate the third seed (Virginia) from the seventh seed (Wake Forest). There are also three teams in the lower half of the standings with the same conference record (9-10) – Virginia Tech, Florida State, and NC State.

Before the action begins next week in the nation’s capital, we have some betting odds from FanDuel Sportsbook. To no one’s surprise, the Blue Devils are the favorites (+165), while the Tar Heels have the second-best odds (+190).

But it wouldn’t be a surprise to see those odds flip depending on what happens on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. ET between Duke and UNC. Both squads have the same record (24-6), but the Blue Devils are only one game behind in the conference standings.

If the Tar Heels and Blue Devils handle their business in the quarterfinals and semifinals of the ACC tourney, we should expect a third meeting between these two long-standing rivals. Last year, the No. 4 seed Blue Devils defeated the No. 1 seed Virginia, 59-49, in the ACC title game to clinch the automatic bid.
