3 Prospects Panthers Should Trade Up For in NFL Draft

The Carolina Panthers do not have a first-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, but they have two second-round picks, which could help them move up for a player that they want.

3. Chop Robinson, EDGE

Surprisingly, the defensive line is not a top priority for the Panthers even though they traded star pass rusher Brian Burns to the New York Giants.

Carolina did an adequate job of adding veterans to their defensive line this offseason, signing A’Shawn Robinson, Jadeveon Clowney, K’Lavon Chassion, and DJ Wonnum.

However, for the Panthers to have success next season, they need to add more pass rushers to the d-line. Enter Chop Robinson, who could be available in the late 20s in the first round, which is the perfect spot for Carolina to make a move from the beginning of the second round.

The 6-foot-3 edge rusher had a stellar last two seasons at Penn State after transferring from the University of Maryland. Robinson recorded 41 total tackles, 17.5 tackles for loss, 9.5 sacks, and three forced fumbles.

Robinson has explosive quickness and a great first step, making him an interesting DE prospect, not only for the Panthers but for other teams as well. The former Penn State standout was solid in stopping the run, which is another positive about his game and will help him see the field early as a rookie.
