2. Philadelphia 76ers - Pick No. 16

Jared McCain has been heavily linked to the Philadelphia 76ers as a potential third banana to pair with Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey. Daryl Morey should have a lot of flexibility this offseason, presumably letting Tobias Harris and his albatross of a contract walk.

Embiid has never been to the Conference Finals and he's already 30 years old. McCain could step in right away as a floor-spacer and knockdown shooter, giving Embiid even more room to operate when healthy.

Jonathan Givony and Jeremy Woo of ESPN have Philadelphia drafting McCain, writing, "Depending on who falls, Philadelphia is in a position to draft the best available prospect at No. 16 but should be angling to grab a cost-controlled role player to contribute during this window as Joel Embiid enters his 30s and rising star is ticketed for a big contract. The level of spacing and versatility McCain provides on offense should be attractive to the Sixers."

Despite Embiid and Maxey's shooting ability, the 76ers still ranked only 16th in three-point shooting (36.4%). Buddy Hield never stuck in the rotation after being acquired via trade, so McCain makes sense as a theoretical Hield replacement serving the role Morey thought Hield would.

Reports expect this pick to be in trade discussions but if the 76ers hold onto it, then McCain feels like one of their top targets.
