The Carolina Panthers entered the 2024 NFL Draft without a first-round pick and a lot of holes on their roster. General manager Dan Morgan and new head coach Dave Canales have been active in trying to bolster the roster for next season to take a significant step forward after the disastrous 2-15 season. They traded up into the first round to draft wide receiver Xavier Legette with the last pick of the first round.

Now, the Panthers are going to try to address the rest of the needs on Day 2 with their 39th-overall and 65th-overall picks in the draft. They can of course continue to add more picks or move within the draft, but they will initially look to replace the following players with their selections.

Austin Corbett, C

The Panthers revamped the entire offensive line this offseason after they failed to protect Bryce Young in his rookie season, giving up 65 sacks and having the worst offense in the league in terms of yards. If Carolina wants to have some semblance of respectability in 2024, they need to improve on the offensive end first.

With that objective in mind, the Panthers broke the bank for Robert Hunt and Damien Lewis in free agency. They will take on the two guard positions but center is still a massive position of need. As of now, Carolina has shifted Austin Corbett there, but his lack of experience there, combined with his overall level of play last season calls for an upgrade.

Jackson Powers-Johnson and Zach Frazier are still on the board heading into Day 2. The Panthers could draft one of these offensive linemen and push Corbett further down in the depth chart.
