3 NC State Women's Basketball Players Who Won't Be Back Next Season

The Wolfpack will need an entirely new starting frontcourt next season. Along with Mimi Collins, her frontcourt partner River Baldwin also played her final game against South Carolina. She had the toughest task out of anyone, having to guard Gamecocks superstar Kamilla Cardoso.
As she always does, she played her heart out. Despite being severely overmatched physically, Baldwin did an excellent job for 35 minutes while finishing with 12 points, nine rebounds, and a block. She summarized the difference between the two teams the best after the game.
"They're big, they keep the ball high. Kamilla Cardoso holds the ball over her head, and I can't reach it."
- River Baldwin after the loss to SC
The 2023-24 season was easily the best of Baldwin's five-year collegiate career. She was a full-time starter for the first time, averaging 27.6 minutes per game and putting up 10.6 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game for the season.
She will be very difficult to replace for the Wolfpack next season as her size is unmatched on the current roster. The incoming freshmen Lorena Awou and Tilda Trygger will try and absorb some of her minutes but it will be a massive challenge for the young players, as well as head coach Wes Moore.
