3. Las Vegas Raiders

The Las Vegas Raiders have a solid roster but no real plan for the QB position. Gardner Minshew led them to a great win over the Ravens in Week 2, though he's not considered a long-term starter. Aidan O'Connell couldn't beat Minshew out and the Raiders need to invest in a legitimate young player to build around.

It looks like Vegas might be just good enough to miss out on the top prospects in the 2025 NFL Draft, so Young could be a great insurance plan. If you can't get one of the new best college QBs, why not get an old one at a massive discount?

Davante Adams is still one of the league's best receivers. With the talent on the defensive side of the ball as well, the Raiders could feel like they have a real chance at a playoff push. Acquiring Young gives them someone to develop while Minshew plays, and then Young could step in should Minshew's inevitable struggles pop up.

There hasn't been much to feel great about so far in Young's career. However, Antonio Pierce is considered one of the top players' coaches in the NFL and might be the voice of reason that Young needs to reach his potential.

Playing in a competitive AFC West with no real plan at QB moving forward, the Raiders could do a lot worse than taking a shot on a player who was just considered such a talented prospect. Young can still be successful in this league, yet it appears he needs to leave the Panthers to turn into a legitimate starter.
