Harrison Ingram

Another transfer who has become a key contributor, especially on the defensive end is Harrison Ingram. After coming to Chapel Hill from Stanford last summer, Ingram has blossomed into one of the most important players for North Carolina, especially due to his irreplaceable skillset.

There is just not another Tar Heel on the roster who can replicate what the 6'7 forward brings to the table.

Ingram is the prototypical three-and-D wing. He has good size, length, and athleticism. And this season, he is hitting his shots, getting his three-point percentage all the way up to 37% after being below 32% his first two seasons. He is also one of the best rebounders in his position in the nation, averaging a whopping 9 rebounds per game.

The inside-out versatility and two-way ability Ingram provides is the glue that connects the Tar Heels on both ends of the floor. If he is hitting shots, the entire offense opens up. If he is engaged, the entire defense hits another level.

If North Carolina is going to go far, they need Ingram to put together at least a few strong performances on both ends of the floor. This would, in turn, help his NBA Draft stock as well.
