3 Former Panthers Who Still Can't Find a Job in 2024 Free Agency

The Carolina Panthers addressed both sides of the ball in free agency this offseason. However, there are still a few players still searching for a new team this coming season.

3. Laviska Shenault

The 25-year-old wide receiver was highly-touted coming out of the University of Colorado but he has struggled mightily to live up to those expectations.

Last season, Shenault didn’t make much of an impact in his second season with the Panthers as he only had 10 receptions (10 targets) for 60 yards in eight games. This was a far cry from what we saw from the young wide receiver in 2022, where he had 27 receptions (32 targets) for 272 yards and a touchdown.

Shenault has yet to find his footing in the NFL, which isn’t good for his prospects as some teams may only view him as a training camp body. He hasn’t produced many big plays and has failed to have 600-plus receiving yards in the last two seasons.

Nonetheless, Shenault can change the narrative by himself if he can join a team that will utilize him across the formation and in space. However, do not expect the Panthers to go back down that path with him as they have more than enough receiving talent to lean on next season.
