4. Jay Williams

If Shane Battier was the heart and soul of that 2001 championship team, Jay Williams was the offensive engine. As a sophomore, he averaged 21.6 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 6.1 assists per game while hitting an impressive 42.7% of his threes. He was simply unstoppable on the offensive end.

While everyone expected him to leave for the NBA after the dominant 2021 season, he came back for another year and proved himself as the undisputed best college player in the country. The 2002 team lost to Indiana in the Sweet 16 but Williams had already established himself as one of the best players to ever wear a Duke uniform. His career averages of 19.3 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 6 assists per game are almost impossible to replicate.

3. JJ Redick

Redick is arguably the best Duke player to never win a national title. He played in one Final Four but consistently came up short in the NCAA Tournament. That shouldn't take away from the fact that he remains one of the most well-known Duke figures of all time.

The moment he stepped foot on campus, Redick was a sensation. He was one of the most widely hated Duke players ever but he thrived off that energy. He consistently got better throughout his college career and despite the fact that he could have left early, he stayed on trying to win the Blue Devils a national title.

His last season, the 2005-06 campaign was one of the best seasons ever by a Duke player as Redick averaged 26.8 points on an incredible 47% from the field and 42.1% from three. He made 3.9 threes per game as a senior and was an unstoppable offensive force. He remains one of the greatest college shooters of all-time.
