Pending Panthers Free Agent Hints 2025 Return is Already in the Works
The 2024 season is officially over for the Carolina Panthers. In Dave Canales' first season running the show, the Panthers finished a 5-12 record. They will be picking eighth overall in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft and will have around $30 million to play with in free agency.
The Panthers need to improve this roster with some players outside the organization. They also have players on the team that are going to hit free agency. Tight end Tommy Tremble is one of those guys. On Monday, as players were cleaning out their lockers, Tremble spoke with team reporters. He expressed his desire to re-sign with the team.
Panthers News: Tommy Tremble Wants To Be Back With Panthers
Tremble said he had a good "chit-chat" with management and he's excited for what is to come.
The Panthers drafted the 24-year-old in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft. The Notre Dame product never finished with more than 240 yards in any season with the team but provided them with an athletic player and willing blocker. In 61 career games, Tremble has 85 receptions, 782 receiving yards, and nine touchdowns.
In 12 games this season, Tremble finished with 23 catches for a career-high 234 yards and two touchdowns. Carolina added tight end Ja'Tavion Sanders in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft and he showed flashes. He finished with 33 catches for 342 yards and one touchdown.
Carolina needs to improve their offense and pass catchers this offseason to give Bryce Young more options. Tremble hasn't lived up to the expectations he had coming into the league but a new deal could be an option for the club.
Keeping continuity goes under the radar when you're trying to build a new culture. Tremble has publicly stated he wants a return, so now it's in management's hands.
