The 2025 NFL Draft is just a few days away, and that has the attention of everyone around the league. The Carolina Panthers have nine total picks, including eight picks in the first five rounds.

After the Panthers saw a three-win improvement in 2024 under Dave Canales, they will need to find more difference-makers. Despite that being slated to be the main event next week, GM Dan Morgan was hit with a huge honor.

Per the Miami Hurricanes' X page, Morgan is one of four players who will be inducted into the Ring of Honor for the class of 2025.

Morgan played for the Hurricanes from 1997-2000 and was one of the best players to suit for the school. Over his four seasons there, he set the Miami record with 532 total tackles. He also had the school record with 309 solo tackles and 223 assisted stops.

In 2000, he won the Butkus Award for the nation's top linebacker, the Bednarik Award for top defensive player, and the Nagurski Award as the College Defensive Player of the Year. During that campaign, he had 138 total tackles, including at least 15 tackles six different times.

Morgan was one of the best players to suit for Miami, and they decided it was time to honor him. The 46-year-old went on to be the 11th overall pick by the Panthers in the 2001 NFL Draft and provided them with a quality defender.

Over seven seasons with the Panthers, he had 390 total tackles, 18 TFLs, 17 pass deflections, and seven sacks. Now, less than 20 years later and he's the general manager of the organization.

Morgan had a productive football career in both college and the pros, and he looks to build the Panthers back to respectability.
