The Carolina Panthers enter this offseason with a list of areas they would like to improve upon in 2025. In Dave Canales's first season as head coach, Carolina went 5-12. They have nine total picks in the 2025 NFL Draft, including eight in the first five rounds.

NFL free agency and the draft are the two main ways the Panthers will improve this team. Last week, the 2024 Hula Bowl took place in Orlando, where 130 NFL Draft hopefuls participated in a week-long practice with a game on Jan. 11.

The Panthers were down there. Ryan Fowler of The Draft Network reported that Carolina was one of the teams that met with Colorado EDGE BJ Green II.

Panthers News: Colorado Edge BJ Green II Met With Carolina at Hula Bowl

Carolina was one of 16 teams that met with Green II. The fact they are already looking for upgrades along the EDGE isn't surprising. The Panthers were ranked 30th in the league in team sacks (32) and need more juice flying off the EDGE.

This team didn't have any player log more than 5.5 sacks in 2024 and seeks to change that in 2025. Green II has been a productive pass rusher in college, winning with power consistently. Green II had 93 total tackles, 21 sacks, and three forced fumbles during his collegiate career at Arizona State and Colorado

This past season at Boulder, CO, Green II had 43 pressures. The Georgia native is expected to be a mid-round pick this April and could be on the Panthers' radar. With a second and third-round pick, plus two fourth-round picks, Green II could easily be one of those selections.

He produced at the college level but needs to continue impressing teams during this draft process, on and off the field. Green II has already caught the attention of the Panthers, and it's up to him to boost his draft stock.
